ADMINISTRATION
REPORT: A report was distributed which included:
1.
Currently one
referral is ready to be processed at the May session
2.
Seven cases were handled on April 15th
at 58th District Court.
3.
HCHS or ZHS
students were not invited to the Annual Volunteer Appreciation Event on April
26th because a list of their names was not submitted as requested.
Please submit a list of student volunteers and volunteer hours for FY2001.
4.
Program
expansion was discussed. Conclusion: Until additional funding resources have
been identified and provided, the program will not be expanded
County-wide. The primary referral source
will continue to be Holland Police Department. The OCSD and WOHS
representatives question the need for their involvement if the program isn't
going to expand. Further discussion/decisions to seek additional funding will
be continued at the next meeting.

A discussion of
poor board member attendance occurred. It was decided that a reminder should be
mailed out to remind board members and other
·
The process of
choosing a jury was discussed. While not being too strict, some type of process
needs to be implemented for unity of the jury selection process. Further
discussion will occur next month, with more members present.

At the April
session, a table in jury room B was vandalized. Mark and Melissa will talk with
their students, although no bill is expected for repairs, if Mark or Melissa
find out who did it, they would like a bill to be prepared. A letter will be
prepared as an apology to the court.

BOARD MEMBER ATTENDANCE: The bylaws of the Teen Court Advisory Board states:
Failure to attend three (3) advisory board meetings in one (1) calendar year,
without proper notification may result in involuntary removal from the board.
