I.   Call to Order

• The meeting was called to order by Al Rios at 3:30 p.m.

II. Welcome/Introductions

• Chanda Miller, the new Teen Court coordinator, was introduced to the board.

III. Approval of Minutes

• The minutes were approved.

IV. Unfinished Business

• Allegan Co. Referrals – Al Rios spoke with Marge Baker at the Allegan County Prosecutor’s office regarding referring Allegan County cases to Teen Court. Ms. Baker is enthusiastic about the idea and will present it at their next board meeting. Al will follow up with her.
• Zeeland High Participation- No representative from Zeeland High has been identified yet. Contact with Robin will be made to determine if she has heard from any volunteers at Zeeland.
• Effect of adding Allegan Co. - Discussion took place as to whether adding Allegan cases would overburden the existing schools if Zeeland does not participate. The consensus was that it would not.

V. New Business

• We have five new referrals. Holland High School will serve as the jury. The day and time for the session have yet to be determined.
• Joyce received a volunteer application from a Holland High student, Bani Holcombe. Mark Geister will contact Bani to include him as the Holland High student board member and for jury service.
• A letter of resignation was received from Michael Kersman. A letter of appreciation will be sent to Michael.
• Al Rios will assume the chair position. Jennifer DeYoung was elected as the new co-chair. Michael Kersman will continue to serve as the webmaster for the Teen Court Web site.

VI. Announcments
