Introduction

Community service has been developed to provide an opportunity that can be a positive way in which you can help the community.  It shows that you are willing to show responsibility for the offense(s) that you have committed.

You have been ordered or agreed to complete a certain number of hours of community service work.  This must be completed before you are released from the consent calendar.  It is your responsibility to arrange your community service work, set times with the work site, arrange your own transportation, and show up on time and present yourself appropriately.

Attached you will find a community service work log.  Please look over the list of services and locations that are open to community service.  Call the contact person or volunteer coordinator to arrange your community service. Explain to the organization that they need to verify your work.  Have them fill out the dates worked, hours worked and a signature verifying that the hours are completed.  It is your responsibility to have the work log sent to Teen Court.
